Before any other activity, we did a quick brainstorming about animals. My students wrote some words on the whiteboard, then we will add them to the online mindmap that our Turkish friends prepared.
I took a photo after the mindmap was finished on mindmeister.com. The words that my students came up with are written in red, an those of our Turkish friends in black, so that we can differentiate them. We tried not to add words that had already been written by our partners. Also, we omitted some of the words that weren't so relevant (like "big" or "small" for example).
